The Best Everyday Skincare Routine

It's time to start a proper skincare routine, but you have some questions: How many skincare products should you use? How do you choose the right ones for your skin? What is the best order in which to apply these products? What is the purpose of these products? But do not worry! We’re here, and ready, to answer all these questions for you.

Use These Steps For Morning And/Or Night:

Step 1: Cleanse

It is so crucial to remove your makeup and wash your face, we can not stress this enough! For ingredients to be able to properly absorb into your skin, you need a clean surface that is free of oils and grime.

How to Choose the Best Cleanser for Your Skin Type

  • Dry skin: A creamy, non-foaming cleanser will be your best friend should be creamy.
  • Oily skin: Gel-based face cleanser should be your go to.
  • Acne-prone skin: Like oily skin, acne-prone skin individuals must avoid harsh cleansers and look for something more gentle, like gel cleansers.
  • Sensitive skin: Here, you would opt for a gentle, creamy face cleanser.

At FORE, we sell our amazing Gel Cleanser. Our facial cleanser provides you with a luxurious lather to gently cleanse and soften your skin. Check it out:

How to Use:

Scoop a small amount and place it into your hands. Directly apply to your dry skin and gently massage over the face and eye area. After doing so, rinse thoroughly, and pat skin dry with a soft, clean towel.

Step 2: Toner

Toners are essentially just primers for later ingredients to be absorbed more effectively. Toners can be often misunderstood leaving people questioning whether it is even worth using, or even, how it is even used. A facial toner thoroughly cleans your skin and helps to remove all built-up dead skin cells on the surface of your skin. In addition to helping clean your skin, close pores, and balance PH levels, toner is greatly beneficial for acne-prone skin.

How to Use:

Dampen a cotton ball or any applicator of your choice with our toner, and apply directly to your face. Allow toner to dry on your skin. NOTE: For combination or oily skin, you can use this toner in the AM and PM. For Dry skin, it is best to only use our toner once a day, either in the AM or PM.

Step 3: Face Serum

Oh, serums! The product you probably buy but don't really use, and then worry that you're neglecting out of confusion. But don’t worry we’re here to help! Essentially, serums are concentrated doses of nutrients, hydrators, and antioxidants that instantly energize your skin. As a general guideline, think of toners as a nice sip of beer and serums as heavy shot of tequila.

How to Use:

Apply a few drops into your palm and rub palms together. In a circle, upward motion, apply gently onto face and neck. Follow with creams such as moisturizer, spot treatments, and eye creams.

Step 4: Eye Serum

An under eye serum is used to delicate the skin just beneath your eyes. Research has shown that the periobital region, which is the area around our eyes, is often the first area that shows the visible signs of aging skin. The job of an under eye serum is to reduce, and even eliminate, these appearances by combining the amazing benefits of ingredients such as aloe vera, caffeine extract, pea extract, and so on.

How to Use:

Apply a few drops onto your ring finger and gently tap on the surface below your eyes.

Step 5: Eye Cream

Eye creams tend to be lighter and thinner than face moisturizers, so make sure to apply them before your face cream! They help to lessen the look of bags, puffiness, and the uneven tone under the eyes while keeping the area greatly nourished.

How to Use:

Use your ring finger as it is your weakest finger, allowing for a gentle touch. Scoop a pea-sized amount of the product. Gently pat the product underneath your eye. Avoid dragging and or rubbing. Wait 2 minutes to allow the cream to fully absorb.

Step 6: Face Cream

You need to be using a face cream. Always. Twice a day. Morning and night. No matter what. You need this if you want to keep your skin barrier - aka that very temperamental thing that makes your face look good - healthy and happy.

How to Use:

Apply to clean face after using and applying your cleanser, toner, serums, and eye cream to achieve optimal moisturizing effects.

Stick With It

The best things in life come to those who wait - and the same goes for skincare routines. Do not expect results overnight, even with the best skincare products. Generally, you can expect to see some benefits in six to twelve weeks if you follow a consistent, daily routine - and it can take as long as three to four months to really know if a new routine is effective.
